The iPhone 5 is a smartphone developed and designed by Apple Inc. It was first released in September 2012, and it was the sixth generation of the iPhone. The iPhone 5 featured a 4-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. It was powered by a Apple A6 chip, which was a 1.3GHz dual-core ARMv7-A processor and PowerVR SGX543MP3 GPU, with 1GB of RAM. It came with either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, and it did not have a microSD card slot. The iPhone 5 featured an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also had a built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The iPhone 5 ran on the iOS 6 operating system and was upgradable to iOS 10.3.4. It was available in either black or white and also came with a new design and was thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4.
